Due to increased processing costs, Malvern Veterinary Hospital will no longer accept American Express (Amex) credit cards as a form of payment, starting April 1, 2025. We will continue to accept our other current payment methods.

Help Our Very Own “ROSIE THE RAPPELLING RIVETER!” Raise Funds for VisionCorps!

Hello Malvern Veterinary Hospital Family!

My name is Miranda Lieberman, you’ve probably seen me as one of your technicians at Malvern Vet. I want to let our clients know about a fundraiser I’m involved with for a very worthy cause. This will be the third year in a row I will be rappelling down the 10-story Holiday Inn in Lancaster to benefit VisionCorps, a nonprofit that provides vital services for the blind and visually impaired community.

When I’m not at the hospital, you’ll likely find me working with a wonderful woman named Natanya Sortland, a fellow Malvern Vet client and Malvern resident who has experienced various brain injuries that have left her legally blind. VisionCorps came to her home to provide her with those vital resources that gave her her life back and restored her independence, which is why she rappels dressed as Lady Liberty herself (and myself as Rosie the Riveter!). She has rappelled for 6 years in a row, and this will now be my third year rappelling. Natanya created Team Liberty for Chester County to increase our area’s visibility, as VisionCorps is based in Lancaster and covers many of its surrounding counties. It is through her efforts that VisionCorps is now increasing its presence in Cheser County, and it is my mission to help them further that presence. I know firsthand how it changed her life, and I’m sure there’s countless others it can help as well.

In order to rappel, I need to raise $1,000, and I have until June 5th to do so. It would mean the world to mean if our Malvern Vet community could assist me in reaching that goal. Every bit helps, and it really does take a village to make change happen. If you are able to donate, or even just spread the word, it would be invaluable to me. I thank each and every one of our clients in advance for all the support you lend. Our Malvern Vet community is one of the many reasons I love working at this hospital so much.

There are many ways to get involved besides just donating! Below are flyers with further information about the event if you are interested. If you are a thrill seeker and want to rappel down a building for charity, we would LOVE to see you join our team! Feel free to contact me for more details.

All my gratitude,

~Miranda, aka Rosie
