We are currently experiencing technical issues with our internet and phone services.

Starting January 1, 2025, we will no longer approve prescription requests from outside or outsourced online pharmacies. We understand that this change may be unsettling, and we truly value the trust you place in us for your pet’s care. Our goal is to provide you with ample notice so that the transition will be as smooth and hassle-free as possible, ensuring there’s no disruption in managing your pet’s prescriptions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our priority remains the health and well-being of your pets, and we believe this change will help us better serve you.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no question too big or too small for our veterinary team. Below are some answers to our most common questions.

We proudly serve the pets of Malvern, PA, and beyond

At Malvern Veterinary Hospital, we get a ton of interesting questions from pet parents. Below are some common FAQs that might help answer any questions or concerns. Please feel free to call us at (610) 647-2626 for any other concerns you might have about your pet.

What type of animals do you treat?

We treat all of your animal companions. To quote Dr. Hyduke, “We see everyone but venomous snakes and monkeys.”

Can I buy medicine or specialty food from you?

Yes. Please call the hospital at (610) 647-2626 and choose option #1 for prescriptions or #2 for food.

Do you offer second opinions?

Yes. We tell our own patients that as much as you love Dr. Hyduke or Dr. Lefavour, you may want a second set of eyes to review your case. When calling for this appointment, please state that this is for a second opinion only.

You offer emergency consultations, are you an emergency hospital?

Depending on the nature of the call, we may ask you to come in immediately, explain why this can wait until the next morning, or refer you to a full-service emergency hospital.

Why might my pet be referred elsewhere?

We treat all animals and their conditions for which we have consistent training and practice. For example, we perform many surgeries but do not have an orthopedic surgeon on staff; we treat many eye ailments, but advanced conditions require a veterinary ophthalmologist. If we refer you, it is because we are certain that one of the excellent specialists in our geographic area is better equipped for your circumstances.
